Over the previous eight months, Sage and Sidriel have been on a number of missions to rescue Nephilim who have been caught in a torrent of kidnappings and murders. All the bloodshed has been perpetrated by demons who answer to the Apokomistis Astaroth. There’s no end in sight when the prophet known mysteriously as the Almah summons Sage for a private meeting. The Almah reports that the Balance of the Universe is shifting quickly, and she cautions that Astaroth will stop at nothing to apprehend Sage. Before long, Astaroth reveals that she has hatched a plot involving the Nephilim meant to crack Heaven and Earth wide open, potentially destroying both planes of existence. Worst of all, she has new help from vengeful angels to make sure everything goes to plan.
